It is a horrible place. My first time in Cancun and because of this resort I will never be going back. I could not wait for the 8 days to pass so I could come back home . I give that place 1 star. The service is horrible, the beach is disgusting , the rooms smell like mold. No air conditioning in lobby, hallways or elevator, even some of the restaurants didn’t have air conditioning. Many of the days we did not have our room cleaned until about 6pm and if you don’t tip the gals that clean your room they don’t do a good job. Everyone there expects tips even though its included in your all-inclusive and even when you tip them they don’t go out of there way to service you any better . I could go on and on 🙁

Me and my wife went on a trip to Orlando and used Bookit.com when we got to the hotel the front desk said that or reservation was canceled we was 4hrs calling bookit.com and no one knew what happened the people at bookit.com where very rude
and don’t know how to talk to people we talked to like 5 people from bookit.com they messed up our trip so bad that my wife was like lets just go home WOW don’t do booking with them and have a great time with other booking websites

first of all, this hotel is in no means 4 stars. The representative in the hotel told us it was only 3 stars. After staying there I would would rate this hotel a 2 star hotel… We purchased an all inclusive 4 night stay at this hotel and I have never been so disappointed from a vacation. When we got there at 6:30 pm after a long check in process with lots of exceptions , if you lose your armbands they will charge you 1500 usd if you lose the towels that you have to lug around all the time if you want to go the beach or pool , they will charge you 500 usd…
I noticed that we got treated differently , not in a good way because we were Americans that didn’t speak Spanish, the front desk staff was rude to us.
When we got to our room we noticed that the air conditioning was not working. We called the front desk and asked to be changed to a different room. They said no, not until they send a technician over to try to fix it… After an 2 hours they finally said ok and changed our room… The room was definitely not up to par with a 4 star hotel. Black stains ( mold) on the ceiling over the shower, tiny bugs on the sofa cushions ( don’t know if those were bed bugs) . The pillows felt like plastic. if you want to use the safe in the room they charge you 7 usd a day…some of the power outlets In the room do not work. Found that out after trying to charge my phone over night and noticing that it didn’t charge at all.
Just so you know nothing is free in cancun!! The hotel mentions on their website () that there is free complimentary use of their kayaks, paddleboats and surfing gear. When I went to the front desk to ask about where to get the kayaks they said that it wasn’t at the hotel. That we would have to go to a different resort that was like 10 kilometers away and use it their if we wanted… Another lie.
The food gets really boring after 2 days… It’s the same Yucky food in all restaurants every day. If you want want room service which is supposed to be part of the all inclusive deal, it only includes food like hamburger and hotdogs. Nothing yummy or special at all. They charge you 15 dollars for a transport fee.
If you are taking your kids, the kids club which they hype up and show you all these rooms and games that the kids can play with is another scam. The kids are not aloud to play with whatever they want. My son wanted to go and play the in video game room one afternoon. And they said that he has to participate in whatever activity that was planned for that time and that there is no free time. The video game room was only open for 1 hour on only 1 day during the whole week. The playground wasn’t open at all. The kiddie pool didn’t look good…My son did not want to stay there at all. He felt very uncomfortable.plus when you register the kids they tell you that you have to come to check up on the kids every hour…
There are salespeople in the lobby that try to sucker you in to hear an hour and a half presentation about their travel agency ( unique vacations they are called) they left an invite to come downstairs to get a free gift which I thought was from the hotel but it was from them. they tell you they will give you free tickets to places or shows no matter if you purchase a deal with them or not. It’s a complete scam. We agreed because they said they would give us 4 free tickets to Captain Hook, the pirate ship that costs 97 dollars per person usd. Membership costs like 43,000 for the cheapest one…After 2 hours of wasted time and me telling them NO 100 times they finally released us and gave us our supposedly “free” tickets. As I said nothing is free in cancun. They have this bs charge called a port fee. So the tickets were free however I had to pay 10 dollars a person for the port fee. So it cost me 2 hours of wasted time plus 40 dollars out of my pocket. It was worth the 40 dollars, but I would definitely not pay 97 dollars a person for it. Disney land costs that much…
Any excursions in Cancun are way way overpriced. I rented a wave runner from the hotel beach and it cost 50 dollars US for 30 minutes…
the hotel beach is not ideal for snorkeling… There are no fish…
The only positive thing I can say about the hotel staff is that the concierge has some nice people that helped us out when my daughter became sick and made an appointment for her with a pediatrician in one of the clinics in the downtown area. The Dr. At the hotel is a complete rip off as well. He wanted to charge me 150 dollars just to evaluate my daughter and said that antibiotics could cost me another 60. The pediatrician we saw charged us 59 dollars and the antibiotics cost 20 dollars… So big thanks to the concierge !
My advice is not to go to this hotel if you want a nice vacation…people at this hotel just want to rip off the tourists!
